To protect against unwanted insects, this hammock set comes with the lightweight Vagabound Bug-Net. Thanks to its very small mesh (144 meshes per square centimeter), this mosquito net offers protection from even the smallest insects. The Bug-Net's design allows it to fit perfectly against the hammock, preventing gaps that could prevent unwanted insects from entering.
The mosquito net hangs from the included ridgeline. This ridgeline is attached to either side of the hammock using the carabiners that secure the hammock to the tree protectors. The mosquito net is very easy to open and close. The tension of the net can also be adjusted using the adjustable ridgeline. This hammock set comes with a hanging system. This consists of two lightweight carabiners and Bushmen Tree Huggers (tree protectors). These tree protectors prevent damage to the tree. Because the tree protectors are 2 meters long, you can hang the hammock between two trees that are 5 meters or less apart (this assumes a tree with a diameter of 30 centimeters; for thicker trees, the maximum distance is less).
To use the hammock system, wrap a Bushmen Tree Hugger around the tree and attach a carabiner through two loops on the Tree Hugger. Then, attach the hammock's suspension loop to the carabiner and repeat the process for the other tree. The ridgeline can now be hung from the carabiners so that it runs above the hammock. Now, place the Vagabound Bug-Net on the ridgeline and attach the ends of this bug net to the carabiner, pulling the cord to close the net. Using the cord, you can open and close the bug net. Now adjust the ridgeline to the desired tension.
